Beatrice “Bea” Stafford, 101, of Harrisburg, passed away, November 2, 2017 in Harrisburg.

Bea was born in Ledford on February 23, 1916 to the late David and Gwendolyn (Edwards) Waltz. She was a home maker and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Eldorado and a member of the Saline County Homemakers extension.

She is survived by her children: a son, Phillip (Darlene) Stafford of Harrisburg, two daughters: Linda Stafford of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Susan Cornett of Stonefort. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren: Mark Stafford, Tim Stafford, Emily Upchurch, Bart Schiff, Rene Buxton, Arnold Cornet, Doug Stafford and Elizabeth Pitsley and12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Bill Waltz of Jerseyville and a daughter-in-law, Jane Stafford of Franklin, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold “Dutch” Stafford in 2000 and a son Sam Stafford in 1999. She is also preceded in death by six brothers: John, Alvin, Eugene, Jim, Bob and Joe Waltz and she was preceded in death by three sisters: Lola Irvin, Mary Belle Bonnell and her twin sister Bernice Carter.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017, at 1:00 PM at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado. Burial will be in Bramlet Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
